The 17^th ranked Golden Eagles were back in action this past weekend at Parkland College in the Back to School tournament.
 
Rock Valley would drop their opening game of weekend against 16^th ranked Hawkeye Community College. Hawkeye would come out strong winning the match 3 sets to 0.
 
The Golden Eagles would pick up three big wins following the Hawkeye match. Defeating the #9 team in the country Muskegon 3 sets to 0, 6-1 Carl Sandburg College 3 sets to 1, and 4-1 Lake Michigan College 3 sets to 0. "RVC VB had a very good weekend at the Parkland College back to school tournament.  Picked up wins over Muskegon, Carl Sandburg and Lake Michigan after dropping the initial match vs Hawkeye.
Serve Receive  continues to be a major factor in our positive results.  We will spend the next several days working on defense and serve receive offense to get our hitters in better rhythm prior to our next set of matches on September 8^th and 9^th.  Looking forward to working in practice to take care of some of these important parts of our game." Stated Head Coach Kristy Pierce.
 
The Golden Eagles move to 8-2 on the season and will be back in action on September 8^th in the Region IV Crossover at Rock Valley College in the Physical Education Center against Kankakee Community College, and Milwaukee Are Technical College.
