ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rock Valley College men's soccer program and head coach Tim Romanello have released their summer programming and registration is now open. Each of the programs are designed for different age groups and skill ability to succeed and excel.
 
The events will kick off with the men's annual Open Tryout in mid-July. This camp is designed all serious and dedicated soccer players that are immediately eligible and currently uncommitted college freshman or sophomore players looking to play college soccer beginning in August. The Open Tryout will be held July 12 from 10-11:30 AM.
 
Join us for our Youth Day Camp on July 26 & July 27. The Youth Day Camp will provide opportunities to focus on fundamental skill instruction in a fun and relaxed setting. The Youth Day Camp features small group work on individual technique and small-sided games. Campers will be able to work firsthand with Rock Valley soccer players and staff. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about soccer while having a fun experience! The Youth Day Camp will be held from 8:30-12 PM each day and is open to all boys and girls, ages 5-14.
 
Then, finally, the summer programming will wrap up with our new High School Prep and Prospect ID Camp on July 28. This program is designed to provide campers with an up-close, first-hand experience into the understanding of the demands of college soccer while having the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming fall high school season. Open to all high school eligible players, campers will be put through the same high-level training and game situations those current Golden Eagles men's soccer players' experience. Specific goalkeeper training will be provided to all goalkeepers in attendance. This is an excellent opportunity for prospective student-athletes to work with Rock Valley College men's soccer coaches. Additional collegiate coaches will attend as their availability allows. A small Q&A will be provided for families following the camp. The High School Prep and Prospect ID Camp will be held from 9-2 PM and is only open to currently eligible high school freshman through seniors (as of 2023).
