Box Score The Golden Eagles drop game one of the 2023 NJCAA DII Softball World Series. Game one saw RVC face off against the #10 seed Des Moines Area Community College in the national first round.
The Golden Eagles would take an early 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning off a Molly Kable RBI which scored Jenna Turner. That lead would not hold for long as DMACC would score 5 runs in the top of the 5th inning to take the lead for good in the game.
RVC would battle late. Grace Stevenson would double to left field in the bottom of the sixth inning to score Sam Tourtillott.  Katie Hayes would single to left as well scoring Jenna Turner for the second time in the game. The fight from RVC wouldn't be enough to overcome the surge the Bears had early.
