The Golden Eagles headed to Kansas over the weekend to take on John Wood CC and Highland CC (KS). Rock Valley took down Highland in game one Saturday with a slew of runs defeating the Scotties 14-9. Braydon Cooper got the win, Lucas Rick went deep twice and Logan Scuglik contributed with a double and a triple. In Game two John Wood got the best of RVC, the Golden Eagles fell 11-0. RVC would run it back on Sunday against John Wood in game one. Ethan Storm had a strong outing going 5 innings and striking out 6. Ethan Glossa went 2-2 and also reached twice on BB. However it wasn't enough as the Golden Eagles fell in game one. Game two was against Highland (KS) in which Griffin Smith pitched a phenomenal game for RVC. Smith went 7.2IP, allowed 0 earned runs and struck out 13 Scottie batters! Grant Garrett went deep for the Golden Eagles in the effort. Ultimatelty the Golden Eagles fall 3-2.

Baseball is back in action Saturday in Union, MO against East Central College.
