The past weekend RVC faced off against North Iowa Area Community College, #6 NJCAA DIII Joliet Junior College, Iowa Lakes Community College and #3 NJCAA DIII Rochester Community and Technical College.. The Golden Eagles would pick up four wins over the stretch to get back to better their record to 12-7 on the season and extend their win streak to eight games. "We are in a good rhythm right now, we are playing hard every set and continuing to execute and capitalize on situations within those matches." Stated Coach Kristy Pierce.

RVC would go on to defeat NIACC 3-0, #6 Joliet 3-1, Iowa Lakes 3-2 in a reverse sweep, and #3 Rochester 3-1 to cap off the weekend. "We finally have our energy up, we are serving well, blocking hits and our flow is really good right now" Stated freshman middle back Maisie Green.

The Golden Eagles will host Joliet Junior College on Tuesday September 13^th. Tuesday RVC will also celebrate the 2012  National Championship team (44-7). In the title bout versus Brookhaven (21-15), Tournament MVP Breahna Stewart had 41 assists. Kristen Kotch and Rachel Woody combined for 37 kills. Kotch, Woody as well as Tara Wogomon were All-Tournament team selections while head coach Abby Jenkins (Sackmaster) was named Heidi Hutchinson Coach of the Tournament.First serve is set for 6:00pm.
