Rock Valley v Madison College: Match Preview
 
Following the season-opening victory over Dakota County, Rock Valley finds first test in trip north across state lines to Madison, Wisconsin where the Golden Eagles will renew their rivalry with former N4C foe, Madison College.

In the team's trip to Madison last year, the Golden Eagles found themselves down 2-0 early, then found a lone goal just before the halftime break. Just moments into the second half, Rock Valley saw a penalty saved, denying the Golden Eagles an equalizer, but defender Joshua Ceniceros would level the score in the 49^th minute. Madison would convert a game-winning penalty kick in the 73^rd minute.

Rock Valley outshot Madison 12-10 back in October's clash, but Madison took a 2-0 lead following an 84^th minute goal by Isaak Cordova. Amani Aramni made things interesting with a 85^th goal for Rock Valley, but the Golden Eagles couldn't find the equalizer in the hotly-contested matchup.

The Golden Eagles return home Tuesday afternoon to host Bryant & Stratton College. Tuesday's kickoff is set for 2:00 PM. The women's soccer team will kick off their 2022 regular season campaign following the men's match.
 
MILESTONE WATCH
Alejandro Montalvo became the eighth player to record four points in a single game. Montalvo also became the 16th player to score two goals in a game. Roberto Davila's goal yesterday moved the sophomore one behind Brock Tikson and Alexis Galvez for sixth all-time on the career goal list at Rock Valley. Head coach Tim Romanello collected his 25^th win at Rock Valley College on Friday afternoon against Dakota County Tech.
