Rock Valley baseball sits at 2-2 on the week with a pair of double header splits. They faced Oakton College on Monday in a double header, they took game one 3-2.
Gavin Vrana went 3 innings and struck out 6 on his way to the win.
Drew Burkholder finished the game and earned the save.
Nikolas Clark swiped 2 bags and scored a run, while
Tyler Horton drove in 2 runs. In game two the Golden Eagles fell 6-1.
Evan Tocmo was the bright spot for the Golden Eagles going 2-3 at the plate.
On Tuesday RVC traveled to Bryant & Stratton to take on the Bobcats. In a back and forth competitive game the Golden Eagles dropped game one 5-4.
Evan Tocmo was a perfect 3-3 with a walk.
David Galassi scored two runs and
Payton Matthews found two hits in the effort. In game two it was the
Jimmy Fairley show. He went 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 unearned run.
Steven Kleyheeg came in to close the game for the Golden Eagles.
Nikolas Clark had himself a game, collecting 3 hits, scoring 2 runs and swiping 2 bags.
