Rock Valley earned a huge victory at home on Saturday, 2-1 versus Oakton. The win over the Owls leapfrogged the Golden Eagles over both Oakton and Elgin for fourth in the District B playoff standings of Region IV. Rock Valley has two games in hand over both Waubonsee and Prairie State and three over Elgin who currently sits level with the Golden Eagles on points but sit fifth in goal differential. It is not outside the realm of possibility for the Golden Eagles to finish second. To do so, the Golden Eagles would have to win their final four games of the season, including two matches against Waubonsee (10/15) and Prairie State (10/22).
 
That journey begins Tuesday afternoon as the Golden Eagles travel to take on Richard J. Daley, yet another side that the Golden Eagles have never squared off against.
