The Golden Eagles played for the first time since December 17
th, 2021. The Golden Eagles have had numerous games canceled due to covid-19. The Golden Eagles have won 3 out of their last 4 games heading into last nights N4C conference match-up against COD.
Rock Valley would go back and forth with DuPage through out the first half leading the Chaparrals 14-7 after the first period. RVC would catch some rhythm in the second quarter building a 14 point 40-26 lead heading into halftime. "We knew as a team that it would take a moment for us to get a rhythm in tonight. We haven't had a full team practice since December and it showed. But I was really proud of our ladies in how we competed and defended at a high level." Stated Head Coach

The second half of the game would be no different for the Golden Eagles as they would take full control of the game continuing to build on their lead and never look back. "Everyone contributed tonight and for us to keep things rolling in the right direction its going to take a full team effort." Stated Watkins.
The Golden Eagles were led by freshman
Camron Blank who recorded a double-double scoring a game high 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Freshman's
Jaden Newson 14 points,
Ashanti Brown 12 points, and sophomore
Kaycia Zimmerman 12 points, 13 rebounds rounded out the double digit scoring for RVC.
