Box Score River Grove, IL- #4 RVC Women's Basketball comes out on top on Wednesday night 60-56 over Triton College. The Golden Eagles improve to 13-6 overall and (3-0) in N4C play.
The Golden Eagles would control the game from start to finish, against the Trojans on Wednesday evening. Despite a cold night of shooting on the road against Triton, RVC would again find a way to get a tough road victory to stay unbeaten in N4C conference play. "We battled last night, that's just about as plain and simple as you can put it we battled and came away with a hard fought win." Stated Watkins.
The Golden Eagles would control the boards and tempo of the game securing 49 total rebounds and 18 offensive to keep possessions alive and create extra opportunities. "Road wins are tough to come by so to see our group really dig in down the stretch and control the tempo of the game and win the battle on the boards was huge. Our defensive effort was solid as well I think we took 5 or more charges on the night which shows our ladies are willing to sacrifice me for we in order to get the job done." Stated Watkins "We are going to continue to ride this momentum and continue to get better as we continue to move forward in conference play."
