The RVC men's basketball team won the consolation championship this weekend at the William Bear Tournament at Highland CC. The Golden Eagles knocked off Olive Harvey 73-52 in the consolation championship. Brayden Hennis paced the way for the Golden Eagles with 17pts, 9rbs and 4ast. Justin Robinson chipped in 15pts and 5ast. Nick Phillips got hot from the 3pt line making 4 of 6 shots and scoring 12pts. 


Hennis was named to the All-Tournament Team for his performances over the weekend. He was the tournaments leading scorer, fourth in assists and fifth in total rebounds. Charles Burnell was fifth in total assists at the tournament with 15 assists during the 3 game stretch. Ja'Quan Chestnut finished fourth in rebounds per game for the tournament, averaging 9.3 a game.

The Golden Eagles finished up the first semester with a 9-7 overall record. They return to the court on January 2nd to face Wilbur Wright at 7:30pm.
