The men's basketball team loses a heart breaker to McHenry County by the score of 90-88. The Golden Eagles played catch up in the second half, erasing a 13pt deficit.
Charles Burnell paced the way for the Golden Eagles with 42pts on 14-21 shooting.
Ja'Quan Chestnut had a big night with 21pts and 9rbs. Although, with two big time performances it was not enough for the Golden Eagles to come away with the win.
"We have to find a way to improve our defense. We can score the basketball with the best of them, when we take care of the ball. Defense will continue to be our focal point moving forward." Bredehoeft said. The Golden Eagles are giving up 44% from the floor and 39% from 3pt to opponents this season. "We need guys to take more pride on the defensive end and it starts with our coaching staff putting more emphasis on defense in practice", Bredehoeft added.
