GOING DANCING: Women's Basketball Hammers Columbus State CC to Advance to Nationals

Box Score For the sixth time in seven years, Rock Valley College Women's Basketball is headed to the national tournament. The Golden Eagles, the #2 ranked team in NJCAA DIII Women's Basketball, made quick work of Columbus State Community College (OH) 92-53. RVC will take a 20-12 record and a 12-game winning streak to the national tournament hosted by Rock Valley College on March 15-17. 

"We wanted to get out ahead of them early, and we did just that," stated Head Women's Basketball Coach Misty Opat. "Credit to our ladies, though. They bought into our game plan, shared the basketball offensively, and shot a good percentage. I am excited that we get more time together as a program as we work towards our ultimate goal."

Sophomore Madison Vicencio led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Madi Hecox contributed 22 points and 8 rebounds. Trevonna Dyer had 13 points, while Emily Cox added 11 points.
