Eight Straight: #5 Golden Eagles Fly By Triton
Box Score #5 RVC Women's Basketball started the game on a 20-0 run, and led 34-11 after the first quarter to help fuel a 82-51 win over NJCAA DII Triton College. The Golden Eagles have won 12 of their last 13 games. With the win, the Golden Eagles guaranteed at least a share of the N4C Championship. With a win over Madison College on Saturday, RVC would win the championship outright.
"I really liked our focus out of the gates," said
Misty Opat, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "We were very efficient offensively. Generally when you have so many assists (27) on your made field goals (33), you will shoot a high percentage. This team likes playing with one another, and I think it shows."
