W-Basketball: Golden Eagles Win Big Over the Weekend Against College of DuPage
Box Score RVC Women's Basketball stretched its winning streak to 4 games with a 100-36 win over College of DuPage. Since the turn of 2018, the Golden Eagles are 4-0, all of which being N4C games.
"We did a nice job defending the basketball and taking them out of their rhythm," said
Misty Opat, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "Anytime we can force our opponent into turnovers and turn those into easy scoring opportunities, it allows us to get rolling. In contrast, we kept our turnovers down and shared the basketball quite well. With 10 games left, we need to keep improving."
RVC forced 35 COD turnovers and held them to 28.6% shooting from the field. The Golden Eagles connected on 51.9% (41-79) of their shots, and dished out 26 assists.
Madi Hecox led 4 Golden Eagles in double figure scoring with 27 points on 11-16 shooting.
Emily Cox recorded 15 points.
Anastasia Karaivanova returned to the line-up and scored 13 points, while
Madison Vicencio added 12 points.
