W-Basketball: Record Setting Game as #6 RVC Races Past Wilbur Wright College

Box Score #6 RVC Women's Basketball took down NJCAA DII Wilbur Wright College 128-32. The Golden Eagles set program records for most points scored in a game (128) and most points scored in a quarter (39).

The Golden Eagles shot a blistering 52-87 (59.8%) from the field, 13-23 (56.5%) from three-point range, and 11-15 (73.3%) from the free throw line. RVC also dished out 38 assists to only 7 turnovers. On the defensive end, the Golden Eagles forced 32 Ram turnovers and held them to a chilly 10-51 (19.6%) shooting performance. RVC also out-rebounded Wright 55-25.

"We played fast and efficient for a large majority of the night," said Misty Opat, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "We got some very nice contributions from many players."

Madi Hecox scored 36 points (16-27 FG) to go along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Sophomore Emily Cox added 31 points (7-8 3 PT), 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jessie Schiro contibuted 16 points and 9 assists. Kalea Kruser added a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Madison Vicencio scored 10 points to round out Golden Eagles in double figures.
