Volleyball: RVC Escapes Illinois Valley With A Win
Although it took all of five sets, RVC Volleyball was able to pick up a win on the road at Illinois Valley Community College - 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, and 17-15.
"We played more volleyball than we needed to tonight, but we had a few key people really step up and make some big plays in the 5th set," said Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "We are still struggling to find our rhythm, but it is exciting to see them start to find confidence in themselves and in their teammates."
Rockford East graduate
Mallory Hecox led the team in kills with 17.
Kaitlin Sadkowski had 27 digs, while
Salina Oudomsouk contributed 22. Sophomore
Danielle Pendzinski had 5 solo blacks and 1 block assist.
