Volleyball: RVC Knocks Off Rend Lake at Parkland Classic
Over the weekend, the Rock Valley College Volleyball team competed in the Parkland Classic. The Golden Eagles defeated Rend Lake College in 5 sets - 25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 21-25, and 15-8. Sophomore
Danielle Pendzinski (Winnebago HS) had 17 kills and 5 solo blocks, while freshman
Mallory Hecox (East HS) added 10 kills.
"We love coming to this event every year because it lets us know exactly where we are at as we enter our second go-around in conference play," said Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "We competed hard. The field of teams is quite impressive."
On Friday, the Golden Eagles fell in 3 sets to #1 NJCAA DII Parkland College (10-25, 14-25, and 19-25) and John A. Logan College (23-25, 21-25, and 21-25). On Satuday, RVC fell in 4 sets to Southwestern Illinois College (24-26, 23-25, 25-18, and 20-25) before knocking off Rend Lake College.

RVC travels to Joliet Junior College on Thursday, September 28th. Match time is set for 6 PM.
