Volleyball: Golden Eagles Fall Just Short of Upset at #2 Madison
Box Score The Golden Eagles gave #2 NJCAA DIII Madison College everything that they could handle, but fell just short in 5 sets - 25-23, 25-17, 17-25, 20-25, and 9-15. Madison College went on an 8-1 run to finish off the 5th and final set. RVC falls to 10-9 overall.
"We came out so strong, but we ran out of gas," stated Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "We took control and executed in Set 1 and 2. We did not play bad in the final 3 sets, but Madison is an incredibly talented program. We can take a lot out of this loss, and hopefully string our spans of good volleyball together just a little longer so we can translate them into wins."
Kaitlin Sadkowski had 22 digs for the Golden Eagles.
Salina Oudomsouk contributed 23 digs and 48 assists, while
Morgan Raley added 16 kills.
