Volleyball: Golden Eagles Split at Weekend Triangular

Over the weekend, Rock Valley College Women's Volleyball split at home at their triangular. The Golden Eagles beat Oakton Community College 3-0, and fell 3-2 to Southwestern Community College (IA). RVC is 9-8 overall.

"We fought hard at every turn and created energy we have not yet seen this season," stated Head Volleyball Coach Alyssa King. "Our defense and serve receive kept us alive against strong offensive opponents. We have a short turn around and get back into N4C play on Monday against Milwaukee Tech, and Madison on Thursday. Hopefully, we can continue to build."

In the first match, the Golden Eagles took down the visiting Owls quickly - 25-17, 25-11, and 25-11. In the day's final match, RVC fell to the Spartans - 22-25, 25-21,19-25, 25-23, and 12-15. Southwestern, who is coached by Rock Valley College Women's Basketball alum Aleesha Cleaver, beat Oakton 3-0 in the second match of the day.
