#1 Rock Valley College Women's Basketball stuck to their winning ways with a 58-45 victory of Milwaukee Area Technical College. With this win, the Golden Eagles move to 24-3 overall, and a perfect 11-0 in N4C play. With the win, RVC has guaranteed at least a share of the N4C conference title. This marks the seventh consecutive season where the Golden Eagles have either won or shared a piece of the conference title.

RVC's 14th straight win did not come without a fight. Plagued by foul trouble early on to starting forwards Tierra McGowan and Anastasia Karaivanova, the Golden Eagles managed to hold only a 27-24 advantage into halftime. Behind yet another strong defensive effort, RVC held the Stormers to 21 points in the second half. The Golden Eagle defense caused a chilly 17-63 (27.0%) from the field and 2-12 (16.7%) from the three-point line for Milwaukee Tech. Although Rock Valley struggled from the field in their own regard, the Golden Eagles were nearly perfect from the free throw line, shooting 14-15 on the afternoon.

"Conference games on the road will always be tough," stated Head Women's Basketball Coach Misty Opat. "Milwaukee Tech played with a lot of effort, and their place is tough to play at. I am proud of our ladies for sticking to our game plan. We had to play a large portion of our first half with Tierra and Anastasia on the bench, but we continued defend and rebound as a group, which really helped us."

Freshman Emily Cox led the Golden Eagle scoring attack with 20 points. She netted 4 shots from beyond the arc in the game. Jaycee Cleaver had a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. McGowan finished the game with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
