Box Score Thanks to a big time third quarter, RVC Women's Basketball, who checked in at #8 in this week's NJCAA DIII National Poll, was able to edge Elgin Community College on the road - 57-51. The Golden Eagles improve to 4-8 on the season.

"We are still looking to find a way to get our ladies to do what we need to do for an extended period of time," said Misty Opat, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "Without Madi (Hecox) in the line-up, we definitely needed people to step up and help score the basketball. We have three road games left before we break for Christmas. We need to stick to our principles and continue to improve."

With the game knotted at 20 headed into the break, the Golden Eagles outscored Elgin 26-9 in the third quarter to gain the separation they needed in order to keep the Spartans at bay. RVC's defense held Elgin to a chilly 25.4% from the field for the game. Sophomore Emily Cox found her scoring touch, scoring 11 points to lead the Golden Eagles. Kalea Kruser ripped down 10 rebounds to go along with her 8 points.
