W-Basketball: Comeback Attempt Comes Just Short at South Suburban
Box Score RVC Women's Basketball lost 63-54 at South Suburban College on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles trailed 31-12 at the half. RVC got within 5 in the second half, but ran out of gas in their valiant comeback attempt. The Golden Eagles drop to 1-3 on the season.
"We have a young team, and we need to focus on what we are doing well and lengthening those stretches of quality play," said
Misty Opat, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "We have started each of our second halves very strong. We need to find that energy and execution at the start of the game as well. There is plenty of talent here. If we can clean that up, along with cleaning up our rebounds and turnovers, we will be just fine. It is a process."
Madi Hecox led the way with 23 points. Jessie Schiro contributed 14 points and 5 assists. Kalea Kruser ripped down 12 rebounds.
