Volleyball: #1 Harper Knocks Off RVC in Region IV Semifinals
On the heels of an impressive 3-2 win over Joliet in the Region IV Quarterfinals, RVC Volleyball continued their strong play at Elgin Community College as the Region IV Tournament progressed. Unfortunately, #1 NJCAA DIII Harper College awaited the Golden Eagles in the semifinal rebound. RVC fell 22-25, 20-25, and 20-25 to the Hawks to end their season. RVC finishes the 2017 campaign 18-17 overall.
"We battled all morning long," said Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "We made Harper earn it. We made our runs, but they had an answer each time. They are #1 in the nation for a reason, and they lived up to that billing in this match."
Mallory Hecox had 9 kills.
Morgan Raley had 15 assists, while
Gabriella Fiedler led the team is digs with 11.
