UPSET: RVC Volleyball Beats #2 Madison College
On NJCAA Day, RVC Volleyball had an opportunity to celebrate Sophomore Night, and celebrate they did. Behind a spirited effort, the Golden Eagles knocked off #2 NJCAA DIII Madison College in four sets - 13-25, 25-19, 25-18, and 25-23. RVC will enter the Region IV Tournament next week.
"We played with heart and passion tonight," said Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "The team I knew we had in us finally showed up tonight. We got bullied in the first set, but we showed some grit and responded. I could not be more proud of our effort and teamwork tonight. We now move our focus to the Region IV Tournament as we officially enter postseason."
Freshman
Mallory Hecox had a career night with 17 kills and 21 digs.
Morgan Raley chipped in 32 assists and 12 digs.
Salina Oudomsouk added 19 digs.
UP NEXT
The Golden Eagles will play Wednesday, October 25th in the Region IV Tournament. Time, opponent, and location is to be determined after the Region IV meeting.
