Box Score #2 RVC Women's Basketball stretched their winning streak to eight games on Wednesday night with a 67-50 win over Milwaukee Area Technical College. The Golden Eagles are now 18-3 overall and 5-0 in N4C play.

Rock Valley took command of the game from the opening tip, jumping out to a 13-4 lead after the first quarter. Despite tying in the second quarter at 16 points a piece, RVC took a 9 point advantage (29-20) into the half. Sophomore Tierra McGowan had a huge first half, scoring 15 points and grabbing 9 rebounds before the break. She finished with 35 points and 22 rebounds on the evening.

"We have the ability to do some pretty special things when we defend and rebound," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Misty Opat. "Tierra had a great game, but Jaycee Cleaver also contributed a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. We won the rebounding battle 57-40, and that is something that we definitely can build on moving forward."

The Golden Eagle defense held the Stormers to a frigid 15-62 FG (24.2%) and 4-17 3PT (23.5%). The two teams are set to play again on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 in Milwaukee.
