Rock Valley Takes Down Wilbur Wright
Rock Valley traveled to NJCAA DII Wilbur Wright College Wednesday for their third conference game of the season…The Golden Eagles took a 42-27 lead into halftime, and would keep their foot on the gas winning the game 88-57… Rock Valley shot a solid 52.8% (28-53) from the field and 47.1% (8-17) from behind the arc... The Golden Eagles ripped down 47 rebounds, winning the battle of the boards by 14… RVC had a balanced scoring attack with 6 players in double figures…
Jace Kitchen (DeKalb, IL) led the way off the bench scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for his first career double-double… Freshman
Malique Ross (Oswego, IL) added 13 points and a game-high 6 assists…The Golden Eagles had three players with 12 points:

Rock Valley is an NJCAA Division III member of the North Central Community College Conference (N4C)… RVC Men's Basketball checked in at #5 nationally in the NJCAA DIII Poll released on January 10th, 2017… Rock Valley, with a record of 15-4 and 3-0 in N4C play, will travel to Glen Ellyn for a game against College of DuPage on Saturday… Last year in both match ups against COD, the Golden Eagles found themselves victorious… In the first match up in Glen Ellyn, an 89-50 win was sparked by
LT Davis' (Rockford, IL) 23 points and 6 rebounds… When the Chaparrals visited Rock Valley, the Golden Eagles won 80-61 behind 20 points from both

College of DuPage is an NJCAA DIII member located in Glen Ellyn, IL… The Rams are coached by William Anderson… Anderson joined the COD staff as an assistant in 2013, and is in his first year as the head coach of the Chaparrals… In his first season, College of DuPage has a record of 1-14 and 1-2 in N4C play…The Chaparrals are led by sophomore Sean Davis (Aurora, IL), who averages 14.6 points per game and 5.4 rebounds.
