#1 RVC defeats Triton on Walk Off Single
Olivia Fluehr hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Fluehr threw a shutout to carry the Golden Eagles to a 1-0 victory over Triton College at Rosemont Dome in seven innings.
The Golden Eagles' Fluehr kept Triton College off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up nine.
Taylor Carlson helped the Golden Eagles take the lead for good in the seventh inning. Fluehr singled to get on base in the seventh. She then went from first to second on a groundout by Jazmyne Sherwood. Carlon then came up with Fluehr on second base and hit a single to score the winning run.
RVC is now 5-1 on the season.
