No-Hitter Leads Golden Eagles Past Joliet Junior College

Fifteen batters couldn't locate Morgan Adolph as Adolph threw a no-hitter on Friday, in the Golden Eagles' 23-0 victory over Joliet Junior College.

No Joliet Junior College batter was able to locate Adolph's pitches during the game. Adolph threw a no-hitter, striking out 10 batters and walking none while recording her momentous feat. She got Chrstina Budd to strike out for the final out of the game.

Twelve runs in the first three innings helped the Golden Eagles blow out Joliet Junior College. A walk by Hannah Long, an error, a walk by Taylor Carlson, a passed ball, a sacrifice fly by Kendalynn Rockey, a passed ball, a passed ball, and an RBI double by Eden Meier during the first inning and an RBI double by Rockey in the second inning helped the Golden Eagles put some runs on the board early.

Rockey racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles easily handled Joliet Junior College pitching as seven hitters combined for 13 hits, 13 RBIs and 16 runs scored.

Budd couldn't get it done on the rubber for Joliet Junior College, taking a loss. She allowed 23 runs in four innings, walked six and struck out one.

The Golden Eagles added three more runs in the bottom of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Kristi Ebbers tripled, scoring Meier and Jillian Reich.

The Golden Eagles tacked on another 11 runs in the fourth. A passed ball scored Rockey to get the Golden Eagles on the board in the inning.
