M-Basketball: In the battle of nationally-ranked teams, #1 Rock Valley defeats #7 Milwaukee to improve to 23-2
Box Score The the battle of nationally ranked NJCAA D3 conference opponents, #1 Rock Valley College defeated #7 Milwaukee Area Technical College by a score of 99-85 on Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles, who defeated Milwaukee on January 9th as well, improve to 23-2 (7-2 N4C) on the season. Milwaukee falls to 19-5 (6-3 N4C).

LT Davis (Rockford, IL) led five Golden Eagles in double-figures with 24 points (5-8 3PT). Â
Elijah Williams (Chicago, IL) was plagued by foul trouble all night but still scored 23 points (6-9 FG, 11-16 FT) in only 17 minutes of action. Â
Mo Jackson (Belvidere, IL) scored 16 points while RVC back-up big man
Alec Pena (Rockton, IL) had 12 points.
Dalton Payton (Byron, IL) chipped in with 11 points.
"We played really well in stretches tonight," head coach
Craig Doty said. "We executed very well against Milwaukee's switching man-to-man defense and was very efficient on offense. However, we need to rebound and defend for 40 minutes. Like every team we are a work in progress, but we love the tools we have to work with."
RVC is back in action on Saturday at Madison College. Â Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
