Despite a 12-day break from their last game against Columbus State Community College, RVC Women's Basketball extended their winning streak to 7 games in picking up wins over Olive-Harvey College 84-33, and over Jackson College 47-43.

"We maximized our time away from games in a few ways," stated Head Women's Basketball Coach Misty Opat. "We have some depth concerns right now so we were able to heal up a little bit. We were able to work on some areas of weakness. We were also to add some new identities to our offensive and defensive concepts. Overall, I am pleased with how we responded from the long break."

Olive-Harvey College
The Golden Eagles led from start to finish, holding a 25-9 lead after 1 quarter and a 46-18 lead at halftime. RVC was red hot from the field, shooting 33-61 FG (54.1%) and 11-23 from 3 PT land (47.8%). Every Golden Eagle that saw playing time scoring. As a team, RVC had 29 assists on 33 field goals, and out-rebounded Olive-Harvey 51-25. Freshman Emily Cox scored a career-high 21 points, included 5 made 3-point field goals. Tierra McGowan had another double-double, pouring in 20 points and ripping down 13 rebounds. Jaycee Cleaver added 13 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Freshman Sydney Miller added 11 points off the bench.

Jackson College
Despite only holding a 1-point halftime lead, the Golden Eagles were able to maintain their composure and the lead to earn their second road victory in as many days. The game featured a lead no larger than 7 points (RVC), 10 lead changes, and 50 combined turnovers. McGowan picked up another double-double (7th in 9 games) with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagle defense was stingy, holding the Jets to 31.5% shooting from the field and 16.7% from 3-point range.
