RVC Women's Basketball picked up their first win of the season at Black Hawk College - 87-38. The Golden Eagles improve to 1-2 on the season.

"We did what we wanted to do on both sides of the ball," stated Head Women's Basketball Coach Misty Opat. "We moved the basketball well and got the looks that we wanted. Defensively, we kept the ball in front of us and forced some turnovers that allowed for some easy transition opportunities. It was a much needed win before we head off to Ohio this weekend."

The Golden Eagles never trailed in the contest, leading 24-8 after first quarter and 47-17 at the half. Sophomore Tierra McGowan had a game-high 28 points. Jaycee Cleaver contributed 22 points, while Imani Brown added 14.
