Rock Valley Starts Season 2-0
In their first road game of the 2016-17 season, the Golden Eagles were able to hang on 55-50 to defeat NJCAA DII member Black Hawk College in Moline, IL… RVC took control of the game early in the first half, and held a double-digit lead (32-20) at halftime… After a back and forth second half, the Golden Eagles were able to hang on after two free throws by Belvidere High School product,
DeAnte Barnes, to ice the game… RVC was led by 20 points and 9 rebounds by sophomore

Rock Valley is an NJCAA Division III member of the North Central Community College Conference (N4C)… RVC Men's Basketball entered the 2016-2017 season ranked #1 in the NJCAA DIII Preseason Poll… Rock Valley, with a record of 2-0, will host NJCAA DII South Suburban College… Saturday's game will be the 2nd of 17 scholarship schools on the 2016-17 schedule for RVC.
