Volleyball: RVC Falls in 5 Sets to Madison in Region IV Semis
Despite a valiant effort, RVC fell to host Madison College in the Region IV Semifinals in 5 sets - 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 18-25, 9-15. The Golden Eagles finish the season 16-13 overall.
"Unfortunately, the match did not go the way we wanted," stated Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa King. "We started out very hot, and doing exactly what we needed to do. We had all of the momentum, then Madison took it away, and we would take it right back. It was a roller coaster of a match. They made more plays down the stretch."
Freshman
Naomi Johnson led the team with 20 kills, while
Destiny Posley added 15 kills.
Jaycee Cleaver contributed 47 assists.
Cydney Long paced the defensive effort with 26 digs.
