Women's Soccer stays hot in N4C play, downs Madison 4-0
The Rock Valley College women's soccer team took down N4C conference foe Madison College on Friday with a convincing 4-0 home victory.
RVC is now 2-0 in the conference and 2-1 overall. In their two conference victories, the Golden Eagles have won by a combined score of 13-0.
RVC had 15 total shots on goal and Madison had 14. RVC dominated time of possession in the contest and had 9 corner kicks compared to just 1 for the Wolfpack.
"I am proud of the sense of urgency our girls are playing with early in the season," head coach
Carrie Barker said. "We hope to continue this momentum at Milwaukee on Wednesday."
Aryanna Gelafio scored the first goal of the game for RVC at the 23:40 mark.
Sadey Jumapao followed up the Gelafio goal by finding the back of the net with an assisted goal from
Vanessa Martinez at the 18:27 mark of the first half. RVC took a 2-0 lead into intermission.
Gelafio scored her second goal of the game in the second half at the 20:10 mark while Brianna Perez put the icing on the cake with 2:39 to play with a goal assisted by Jumapao.
The Golden Eagles kickoff at Milwaukee on Wednesday is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
