Volleyball: Rock Valley calms the Stormers, have won 6 in a row

The Rock Valley College volleyball team returned home on Tuesday night to play conference opponent Milwaukee Area Technical College (WI).  The Golden Eagles, who defeated the Stormers 3-0 in their first meeting on August 31st in Milwaukee, duplicated their first match with another 3-0 victory.

RVC took the first set 25-14, won the second 25-10, and controlled set three with a 25-9 victory.  The win moves the #4 nationally ranked Golden Eagles to 18-5 on the season (6-1 N4C).

"I am proud of how we played on our home court tonight," head coach Alyssa Tomei stated. "We need to continue to have great practices and improve our ball control as we approach Region 4 tournament play.  I am excited about what this group can accomplish."

Rock Valley, who was led by Makenzie Macek with 13 kills, has won their last six matches.  Jaycee Cleaver added a double-double with 29 assists and 11 digs while Destiny Posley had 7 kills with a hitting efficiency of .455.

The Golden Eagles play at Triton College on Thursday with a 6:00 PM start time.  Earlier in the season, RVC defeated the Trojans 3-0 at home.
