Volleyball: Golden Eagles travel to College of DuPage, win in straight sets
The Rock Valley College Golden Eagles avenged their loss to Madison College earlier in the week with a 3-0 win at College of DuPage on Thursday evening (25-20 , 25-15 , 28-26).
RVC moved up from #5 in NJCAA DIII to #4 on the national poll released Tuesday before the Madison game and looked like a top rated team in the country against DuPage.
"I liked our energy," head coach
Alyssa Tomei said. "We made some changes to our lineup and our girls responded very well."
Makenzie Macek had 15 kills (0.424 efficiency) while
Eden Meier had 8 kills (0.429 efficiency).
Jaycee Cleaver finished with 36 assists and 14 digs.
RVC moves to 13-5 on the season and improves to 5-1 in the N4C conference. The Golden Eagles play this weekend in Davenport, Iowa at the St. Ambrose University Classic Tournament.
