In the battle of nationally ranked volleyball teams, #5 Rock Valley College took down #4 Harper College on Thursday night 3-1 at home (19-25, 30-28, 25-20, 25-12).
RVC continued its hot streak and have now won their last 9 matches pushing their record to 10-2 on the season (4-0 N4C conference).
A young team who started off the season 1-2, the Golden Eagles flexed their muscle against a Harper opponent who entered the match with a 12-4 record.
"Despite losing the first game and being down in the second our girls showed their character," RVC Head Volleyball Coach
Alyssa Tomei said. "After we won the second 30-28 we felt really good about game 3 and 4 on our home court. I am proud of how fast our young team has grown this season."
The Golden Eagles travel to Champaign, IL this weekend to play in the Parkland College tournament. RVC resumes conference play on Tuesday at Madison College with a 6:00 PM start time.
