#1 Rock Valley College men win big at home over College of Lake County

Box Score The streak is now 13.  The Golden Eagles, the #1 ranked team in NJCAA D3, took down NJCAA D2 member College of Lake County on Tuesday night to improve their perfect record to 13-0.  RVC led 41-30 at halftime en route to a 34 points victory, 94-60.

Elijah Williams led the way from Rock Valley College with 17 points (8-11 FG) and 10 rebounds. Mo Jackson scored 16 points while LT Davis scored 14 points and handed out 5 assists.  Dalton Menke rounded out double-figure scoring for the Golden Eagles with 11 points (3-5 3PT) and 5 assists.

RVC dished out a season-high 25 assists while going 34-60 (.567) from the field.  The Golden Eagles held the Lancers to a chilly 35% (21-60) from the field while outrebounding their opponent 44-33.  In all 13 of their games this season the Golden Eagles have won the battle of the boards.

"We played well for about 30 minutes tonight," head coach Craig Doty stated. "We need to continue to improve despite winning games. It is necessary for us to maintain a sense of urgency so we are best prepared for our upcoming conference season."

The Golden Eagles travel to Lincoln College on Thurday to play the Lynx. Lincoln College is an NJCAA D2 member who won back-to-back National Championships in men's basketball in 2010 and 2011. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
