W-Basketball: Golden Eagles win in overtime thriller behind McGowan's 21 point, 22 rebound performance
The Golden Eagles women's basketball team traveled to McHenry County College on Tuesday night and defeated the NJCAA D2 member school in overtime by a score of 68-66.

Tierra McGowan led the way for Rock Valley producing 21 points on 71% shooting from the field and hauling in 22 rebounds, both game-high's.
Brianna Davis scored 15 points while contributing 6 assists and
Asia Jones narrowly missed a double-double scoring 9 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
"McHenry is a tough place to play and they have a talented, well-coached team," head coach
Misty Opat stated. "Tierra has been playing at a really high level since the Moberly tournament. It was nice to see her continue dominating inside the paint."
The game was tied at 31 all at halftime and tied at 61 following the end of regulation. In overtime, RVC outscored the Scots 7-5 to earn the victory.
The Golden Eagles (5-2) host Ellsworth Community College (Iowa Falls, IA) on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM with the men's game to follow.
