Box Score The Rock Valley College men's basketball team handled Sauk Valley Community College (NJCAA D1 - Arrowhead Conference) on Tuesday night by a score of 85-60.  The Golden Eagles outrebounded Sauk Valley 51-29 in the contest to help build their lead and finish with a 25-point victory over the previously undefeated Skyhawks.

The Golden Eagles, who are the #1 ranked team in NJCAA D3, improve to 10-0 on the season while the Skyhawks fall to 6-1 on the year.  RVC has now defeated five NJCAA D1 programs to go along with three NJCAA D2 members heading into a short Thanksgiving break.

Dalton Payton led five Golden Eagles in double-figures against Sauk Valley posting 17 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3PT) to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.  LT Davis scored 13 points, Kooper Glick had 12 points while Elijah Williams and Jace Kitchen each chipped in with 11 points.  Kitchen hauled in a game-high 9 rebounds in the contest.

"We had good offensive balance tonight," head coach Craig Doty said. "LT didn't shoot it very well and Elijah was limited coming off of an injury. However, we have seven different guys on our roster who have scored 20 points or more in a game during their career at Rock Valley College.  When one guy is off, it's the 'next man up' mentality.  Tonight it was Dalton Payton's turn to take control offensively.  We have a really unselfish group that we love working with."

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday at McHenry County College (NJCAA D2).  The Golden Eagles will play the nightcap of the women's/men's double-header.  The women tip at 5:15 PM while the men's game is scheduled for 7:15 PM.
