Volleyball: Rock Valley goes 2-1 vs. NJCAA D2 opponents over the weekend
The Golden Eagles volleyball team traveled to Harper College (Palatine, IL) on Saturday to play three non-conference matches vs. NJCAA DII opponents. RVC went 2-1 in the event moving their record to 21-6 on the season.
In the first match, the Golden Eagles defeated Moraine Valley Community College (Palos Hills, IL) 3-0. In the second match, the Golden Eagles played McHenry County College (Crystal Lake, IL). RVC upset the Scots 3-2 earlier in the season after being down 0-2 to start the match on August 25th. However, McHenry, currently ranked #8 in NJCAA DII, defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0 on this occasion.
In the final match of the tournament for RVC, the Golden Eagles took down the Spartans of Elgin Community College (IL) 3-0.
RVC plays Malcolm X (1-21) on Tuesday at home. Game time is set for 6:00 PM. In their first meeting earlier in the season, the Golden Eagles took down the Hawks 3-0 in Chicago.
