Volleyball: RVC wins final regular season contest at Elgin; Region Tournament play starts this weekend
The Rock Valley College volleyball team traveled to Elgin Community College on Tuesday evening to play a non-conference matchup vs. the Spartans. The Golden Eagles won the match 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-19) to move to 29-7 overall leading into the Region IV tournament this weekend.
The Golden Eagles, who are led by All-American outside hitter Makenzie Macek, earned a first round bye in the region tournament and will play the winner of Milwaukee Tech and Harper College at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. In the single elimination tournament, if the Golden Eagles win they will play in the Region Championship against either #1 nationally ranked Madison College or College of DuPage/Joliet at 2:00 PM.
