Volleyball: #4 Golden Eagles win big at Joliet
The Rock Valley College volleyball team traveled to Joliet on Tuesday to play the Wolves of Joliet Junior College in an N4C conference matchup. The Golden Eagles, who are currently ranked #4 in the NJCAA DIII national poll, won the contest 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-12).
The win improves RVC's record to 23-6 on the season (8-1 N4C). The
Alyssa Tomei led squad has now won three straight games. The Wolves drop to 4-22 on the season.
Makenzie Macek led the way for RVC with 14 kills while
Keifer Zimmerman had 12 kills.
Jaycee Cleaver had 31 assists for the Golden Eagles while
Kaylee Sommers and Zimmerman each had 13 digs in the win.
The Golden Eagles play at Harper College on Thursday with game time set for 6:00 PM. In their first meeting earlier in the year at RVC, the Golden Eagles took down the Hawks 3-1.
