Women's Soccer: Golden Eagles dominate at home vs. Triton

The Rock Valley College soccer team returned home after playing six consecutive games on the road and won 8-0 on Friday behind dominating performances by Sadey Jumapao, Kiki Estrada, Brianna Perez, and Stephani McBride.

The Golden Eagles (7-3; 7-2 N4C)  had 21 shots on goal compared to just four for Triton (0-8-1; 0-6-1 N4C) and also had six corner kicks compared to the Trojan's four.

Nicole Fauerbach started off the scoring for RVC at the 37:40 mark of the first half with a goal assisted by Kiki Estrada and Brianna Perez.

Jumapao scored the 2nd and 3rd goals of the game at the 32:18 and 30:08 marks, respectively.  Stephani McBride assisted on her first goal while Estrada and Perez guided Jumapao's second goal.

McBride scored a goal of her own (24:02, first half) assisted by Estrada while Perez connected for the 5th goal of the first half (assisted by McBride) to help the Golden Eagles take a 5-0 halftime lead.

"We created a lot of opportunities today and did well finishing them," Head Coach Carrie Barker stated. "We were happy to return home and play in front of our fans.  It's tough being on the road for as long as we were."

Jumapao scored the 6th and 7th goals of the game in the second half for RVC (28:28, 23:31) with assists going to Estrada and Lauren Beed.  Amber Varilek connected on the final goal of the game with an assist by Perez with 3:57 to play.

Rock Valley hosts College of DuPage on Friday at home.  Game time is set for 3:00 PM on the campus of Rock Valley College. The Golden Eagles dropped their first match against the Chaparrals 2-0 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois on September 23rd.
