Volleyball: Golden Eagles flourish on the road, defeat the Trojans

The Rock Valley College volleyball team traveled to River Grove, Illinois to play Triton College on Thursday night and walked away with a win over the Trojans.

The Golden Eagles (19-5, 7-1 N4C), who have now won 7 straight matches, won in straight sets (25-11, 25-10, 25-8).

"We have been playing some of our best volleyball of the season," Head Coach Alyssa Tomei stated. "We need to continue this momentum into the weekend as we play three matches at the Harper College tournament."

Tonight, RVC was led by Keifer Zimmerman with 11 kills. Jaycee Cleaver had 10 kills and 29 assists. Rock Valley had four girls hitting over .500 and finished the evening with a .506 hitting efficiency.

The Golden Eagles travel to Palatine this weekend to play in the Harper Tournament.
