Ben Carter

Ben Carter joined the Rock Valley College men's soccer program as an assistant coach in January 2022.

Ben Carter is stepping into the role as an assistant coach. he brings previous coaching experience as a head coach at Neuse River Futbol Alliance Club (North Carolina) and previous playing experience at North Warwickshire, Hinckley College Academy (UK), Dodge City Community College (Kan.) under head coach Tim Romanello and Kansas Wesleyan University.

"Having Ben join the staff is exciting," said head coach Tim Romanello. "Ben was a terrific player for me out in Kansas. His fervor for the sport and understanding of the complexities is well-suited for the touchline. Glad to have him here and to be helping me." 

Carter graduated from Dodge City Community College as 2012's player-voted Player of the Year and Coach's Player of the Year. At Kansas Wesleyan, Carter was top goal scorer from 2013 to 2015 as well as recorded the most assists in 2013 season at KWU.

Carter holds Level 1 & 2 Football Association certificates, as well as advanced certifications in Sport (nutrition, psychology, team building, personal training, time management and training programs.

"I look forward to helping [Coach] Romanello," says Carter. "[Coach] is passionate, ambitious and has experience building winning programs. I'm excited to learn from him, be a part of that and help our players fulfill their own ambitions."
Carter comes to Rock Valley from Raleigh, North Carolina. He lives with his wife, Rachel, and two kids, Hayes (4) and Holden (1).
