ROCKFORD, Ill. – Rock Valley College men's soccer continued its strong stretch of play with a hard-fought shutout victory over Harper College, combining timely scoring with an organized defensive performance.

Harper provided a difficult test throughout the match, but the Golden Eagles remained composed and found the attacking opportunities they needed to secure the result.

Reese Schlichting led the RVC attack with two goals, providing the offensive difference in a competitive Region IV matchup. His performance continued a productive season for the Golden Eagles' attack.

While Schlichting supplied the scoring, Rock Valley's defensive unit delivered an equally important performance. Irving Dorman, Diego Flores, Simone Badassa and Jesus Mandujano anchored the back line and helped keep Harper off the scoreboard.

The clean sheet continued to highlight RVC's ability to combine its attacking quality with disciplined defensive play as the Golden Eagles move closer to postseason competition.

Rock Valley will look to carry the performance forward as it continues preparations for the Region IV Tournament.
