After a 2-0 road win of Waubonsee, Rock Valley (1-1-1) return home for the first time in 2025 for a Wednesday encounter with Illinois Valley (1-2-1) on Hudl TV.

Rock Valley and Illinois Valley will renew their rivalry on Wednesday afternoon when the two teams face off against each other for the fifteenth time.
 
The two last met in mid-September of last year, when the Golden Eagles needed a 90^th minute goal to secure 1-1 draw at LaSalle Rotary Park.
 
Rock Valley has split their first three contests, falling to defending national champions Northeast, 4-0, to open the campaign, then drew 1-1 to Patrick & Henry the day after. The win at Waubonsee over the weekend was the Golden Eagles' first dating back to October 16, 2024, a 4-1 victory in Moline over Black Hawk. Between the two wins, the RVC men drew four straight to close out their 2024, including the 2-2 draw (but 5-4 PK loss) versus Morton in the Region Quarterfinals.
 
Illinois Valley has dropped back-to-back 1-0 games against Waubonsee and Joliet after opening the season with a 3-1 win on the road versus Kennedy-King.
 
Rock Valley have struggled in front of goal to open the season, but converting two goals on 10 shots (seven on target) against Waubonsee, the Golden Eagles hope to be trending on the upward.
 
Did You Know? Despite the Golden Eagles leading the series 9-5-1 versus Illinois Valley, IVCC have won three of the last four matches in Rockford, including a 2-0 shutout of the Golden Eagles in 2023.
 
UP NEXT
The Golden Eagles will travel to St. Louis, Missouri over the weekend to take on St. Louis CC on Sunday to wrap-up their non-region portion of the schedule in 2025. Kickoff is scheduled for a rare 9:00AM.
