Your Golden Eagles (1-0-1) travel to Oak Creek, Wisc. to square off against the Stormers of Milwaukee Area Tech (0-2-0) Wednesday afternoon to kick off their September. The Golden Eagles defeated Milwaukee 2-1 in Rockford, Illinois back in September 2023.
 
Rock Valley won Saturday 4-0 versus Waubonsee to earn their first win of the season after drawing 0-0 on the road mid-week at Carl Sandburg. The Golden Eagles managed the game well against Waubonsee, winning the possession game 59-41 and connected on more passes than the Chiefs attempted. Sophomore Julio Davila record a hat trick, all three of the goals came in the second half.
 
The Golden Eagles will look to extend their unbeaten streak to three games to open 2024, but will need to put together a more complete performance. Head coach Tim Romanello has been vocal about his team's inability to be consistent and needs to be better about executing chances and keeping possession.
 
The Stormers host Rock Valley after dropping their first two games of the season. Milwaukee dropped their season opener to Lake County (8-0) and Black Hawk (6-0).
